Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) is continuing its mission; however, we need to make changes in the delivery of services during these unparalleled times.
Helping provide support to our families in need as well as keeping our team members safe is at the core of what we do. In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, IFCS is making several important changes to our services to maintain a high-level of cleanliness and safety. This food support is even more essential now with many local businesses cutting back and an expected drop in income for those in need.
First, we have modified service delivery to reduce close contact with visitors. Clients will contact us via phone to make an appointment for food services. Food will be distributed using a drive through service where, Food Market staff and volunteers will shop for clients, and then take food items to vehicles; dramatically eliminating the number of individuals and time spent in the building. Case Managers will administer financial assistance programs remotely, submitting paperwork on-line or via fax.
Second, we have asked our cleaning crew for a more thorough cleaning. This cleaning crew has been and will continue to deep clean our offices on and ongoing basis until the situation changes.
Third, our staff is taking steps through more hand washing and hand sanitizer use above and beyond their already high level of cleanliness. Please be assured, we are working to make sure our team members and families are safe and have a clean environment.
At this time, we plan on staying open during our normal business hours to help meet the need for families in our community. If we are instructed to close by the state of Colorado or Center for Disease Control and Prevention, we will make every effort to inform our community and supporters of this change.
